(November 1, 2007) – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company today unveiled its 2008 golf glove offerings, including the new r7® Tour and the Targa gloves, as well as a stylish new line from adidas Golf. The complete collection of TaylorMade® and adidas® Golf gloves are available now at retail locations.
TaylorMade Golf, makers of the number one driver on the PGA Tour®, features five gloves for 2008, including two premium Tour-performance gloves: r7 Tour and the Targa. Both gloves provide players with the ultimate in quality, comfort and fit. Crafted of premium AAA cabretta leather, the r7 Tour glove offers a top-of-the-line combination of fit and feel.
The Targa is designed to enhance the glove’s performance by keeping a golfer’s hand cool and dry on every swing by utilizing the latest technology combined with the glove’s exclusive micro-perforated AAA cabretta leather and performance fabric construction. The micro-perforated leather creates 360° ventilation for enhanced performance, comfort and glove lifespan by allowing airflow to the entire hand, especially in the palm region where the hand sweats the most.
Also included in this year’s offerings are TaylorMade’s cold and wet weather gloves which provide superior protection and comfort against the most extreme elements.
The H20 wet weather glove’s silicone hex dual grip synthetic leather palm allows it to be played in the most extreme wet or dry weather conditions.
The 32° cold weather glove is a must have for golfers who frequently play in colder climates. Designed with a dual-faced micro fiber fleece back, the glove features an insulated polyurethane palm and knitted cuffs to enhance overall hand warmth.
TaylorMade’s Burner® glove rounds out this year’s glove collection and is the latest addition to the “Burner® family franchise.” Built with cabretta leather construction, the Burner glove features venting panels that promote heat dissipation.
Meanwhile adidas Golf, an industry leader in apparel and footwear, introduced its own line of stylish golf gloves, highlighted by the Lethal XT, a ClimaCool® glove with anti-microbial moisture wicking performance fabric for maximum heat management. Offered in black, the Lethal XT is made of AAA cabretta leather and features a micro-perforated palm for 360° ventilation.
adidas Golf also introduced a ClimaLite® glove called the Zone AG. The Zone AG is a traditional full AAA cabretta leather glove with ClimaLite performance fabric channels for maximum heat dissipation and a micro-perforated palm for 360° ventilation
Also available: the Inertia AG and the Inertia XC 2 pack. The Inertia AG has a top constructed of premium micro-fiber synthetic leather top side for all weather performance and a cabretta leather palm for maximum grip and feel. The Inertia XC comes in a two pack and is constructed of embossed synthetic leather for increased durability in all weather conditions and lycra channels across the knuckles for a comfortable fit and ventilation.
